About Tempura Makino

Established in 2006, Tempura Makino’s first store was in Harima-cho, Kako-gun, Hyogo Prefecture (near Kobe). Since then, the brand, known for providing premium quality tempura at affordable prices, has slowly expanded to more than 10 outlets in Japan.  

Tempura Makino has expanded to Hong Kong to share its freshly handcrafted tempura dishes in 2022. Each dish is carefully designed and made to order, ensuring an incomparable crispness in tempura that highlights Japan’s seasonal vegetables and seafood. The menu assortment is unified by an original, unique batter recipe that remains consistent across all Tempura Makino stores.

Tempura Makino Hong Kong uses the same flour, stock, dipping sauce and Japanese eggs as Japan to prepare the tempura batter to present the high-quality tempura of the Japanese restaurant.

Enjoy freshly prepared and seasonal dishes and ingredients served in a comfortable & elegant environment. Also we apply “Tsudoage” style, where tempura items are made-to-order, and served one-by-one to allow customers to enjoy quality and handcrafted tempura.
